Kiersten & Justin

Hello! We aren’t sure how to start this off; it is so hard to condense our lives down to a single
page! Hopefully we will be able to give you a glimpse into our lives and show you that we are
excited and eager for a child to join our home. We hope you are looking for a family just like
ours that your child can call home.

We’re Kiersten and Justin: high school sweethearts that are now in our late twenties. We live in
Livermore, a small suburb of California’s San Francisco Bay Area. It’s a beautiful town geared
toward young families. There are trails for hiking and biking, parks, storytime at the library, a
farmer’s market through the warm months of the year, and a downtown with a lot of great places
for both family and date-night dinners!

Over the 10+ years we’ve been together, we’ve started to have many shared passions. We both
love spending time outdoors, whether it’s packing up for a camping trip in the woods or just
taking a walk up to Target. We love to find new coffee shops or go out wine tasting and pretend
we know what we are talking about. But at the end of the day, sometimes the best thing is
plopping on the couch and watching a movie (probably a comedy if Kiersten is choosing, or a
Star Wars marathon for Justin).

One of our favorite things to do is to explore the world. Justin spent one summer living in Japan
after college and he took Kiersten back the next year and proposed at Tokyo Disney under the
fireworks. We have spent a month in Dublin, Ireland and have traveled to Boulder, Colorado for
Justin’s work as a software architect. We have trekked to Canada to visit Kiersten’s family and
to Hawaii to see Justin’s father.

Speaking of family, we both come from large ones that love to spend time together. Justin’s
family is close-knit and has get-togethers for Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and any other
reason they can think of. Kiersten sees her extended family on the farm in Canada about once a
year and they often have hot dog roasts, go four-wheeling, and play ball throughout the
summer. Our family has no shortage of wonderful aunties and grandparents filled with love.

We have an amazing two year old daughter named Aurora who is excited to be a big sister! She
loves to read and play outside in between time at the library and swim lessons. Kiersten is a
stay at home mom who gets to watch Aurora learn and grow and change every single day. We
have been teaching Aurora sign language so she is able to communicate with us really well.
There is never a day that we don’t marvel at how amazing it is to see Aurora’s spunky
personality turn her into a tiny wonderful person.

While we could never understand the feeling of the decision you have to make for your child,
we’d love to be considered as a home. If you’d like to reach out, we’ve set up a toll-free number
so you can reach us at any time at (888) 909-4905 . We have also set up a website at
family.sievenpiper.co if you would like to learn more about us. If you’d prefer, you can reach
out to our adoption counselor, Lisa Clark, as well at (800) 969-6665. We hope to hear from you!
